Prostate Cancer Symptoms, Awareness and Facts

September is Prostate Cancer Month. FANNYPANTS® joins this important cause with a common display of a blue-ribbon.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men (the first is skin cancer.) Frequently symptoms of the disease include urinary problems, blood in the urine or semen, and frequent pain in the lower back, hips or upper thighs.

Early detection screenings and technological advances have helped reduce Prostate Cancer deaths over the last two decades. According to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, “if diagnosed early, the five-year survival rate is almost 100 percent.”

Memorial Care Health System recommends early annual screenings at the age 45 if:

  1. You are African American or
  2. You have a family history of Prostate Cancer.

To commemorate Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, FANNYPANTS® has introduced two new men’s incontinence briefs styles: Patagonia, our first boxer-shorts, and K2 briefs.
